The Master and Apprentice Instance, also known as the Realm of Bliss, is a type of dungeon for players grouped up with the Master and Apprentice System. There is no level requirement to enter the dungeon, and equipment is not required. Skills are also disabled in most parts of the instance and are not needed. Players will have to complete a challenge in order to complete the instance, which will award all participating Apprentices with 400 Tutorship Points.

Map[ | ]

Overview[ | ]

To enter the instance, the Master must enter it first. They can do this by opening the Master and Apprentice System window, clicking the portal button, and then clicking the image in the middle of the window. This will teleport them inside and activate 1 of the 3 challenges at random. Apprentices can then enter the instance by opening the Master and Apprentice System window, clicking the portal button, and then clicking the image in the middle of the window. Multiple Apprentices can enter the instance.

A Master can only open the instance 3 times per week; this limit is shown underneath the image. An Apprentice can only complete the instance 2 times per week.

The challenges available are as follows:

  • Spring Brewing
  • Summer Exterminating
  • Autumn Harvest

The players can teleport to these challenge areas at the Seasons Teleporter. To begin the challenge, the Master and Apprentice(s) must be in a squad together, with the Master as the squad leader. The Master can then activate the challenge at the nearby NPC. If the Master and Apprentice(s) fail the challenge, the Master can activate it again at the nearby NPC in the challenge area.

Spring Brewing[ | ]

MA Spring Ingredients

A Fountain Water, Yeast, and type of Rice.

The objective of the Spring Brewing Challenge is to earn 6 points within 8 minutes by completing wine orders that appear around the top-left corner of the screen. Up to 3 different orders can appear on the screen at a time; the orders are the same for the Master and the Apprentices. There are no consequences for failing orders.

In order to create wine, players will need to talk to the NPCs around the area to acquire the ingredients which spawn in the form of monsters that will attack the player. Do not kill the monsters as soon as they show up; they need to be killed in a specific way to create the wine. The following NPCs spawn the following ingredients:

  • Yeast Messenger: Spawns Yeast
  • Fountain Water Messenger: Spawns Fountain Water
  • Grain Messenger: Choose one of the following Grains to spawn it:
    • Glutinous Rice
    • Millet Rice
    • Sorghum Rice

If your order requires Apricot Village Fountain, spawn 2 Fountain Waters and then kill only 1 of them. The other one will transform into an Apricot Village Fountain.

Once you have the required ingredients to create a wine, kill the Yeast and the Fountain Water (or Apricot Village Fountain) while they are next to the Rice by melee attacking them. Do not kill the Rice. Once you have killed the Yeast and Fountain Water, the Rice will spawn into a type of wine based on the ingredients you collected. You can then deliver the wine if it is the correct type, add more ingredients to it by spawning and killing them next to the wine, or cook the wine in the stove by luring it to the Furnace in the middle of the area.

Once you have the requested wine, deliver it to the Spring Wine Manager by luring it over to the blue area. The manager will then check if the wine matches the order. You may need to stay in the area until he finishes checking. If the wine is the correct type it will disappear and the order will be completed, awarding the players with points based on the type of order. If it isn't the correct type of wine then nothing will happen.

Once you have acquired 6 points, the challenge will be complete and all Apprentices participating in the challenge will earn 400 Tutorship Points.

Tips[ | ]

  • Assign each player to take certain orders so that the group does not get overwhelmed.
  • Alternatively, you can have a player make some of the high-rewarding wines, have another player attack them to get aggro, and then have that player hold the wines until the order appears for easy submission.
  • Do not worry if you fail to complete an order; it will not fail your challenge unless you do not complete enough.
  • The Fengyang Brew mob is mistakenly named "Unprocessed" instead of its proper name.

Summer Exterminating[ | ]

MA Summer Catapult

Positioning of 2 characters when using the Catapult.

The objective of the Summer Exterminating Challenge is to capture 3 Corrupted Inchworms within 10 minutes. When the challenge starts, a Corrupted Inchworm will spawn either on top of the nearby pavilion or on top of one of the lotus leaves surrounding it. If players get close to the Corrupted Inchworm it will move around to one of the lotus leaves at random. Players will need to set up Bug Traps on multiple of the lotus leaves in the hopes that the Inchworm will randomly move to the correct one and become trapped by it.

All players should take the "Receive the bug-catching tool" quest from the Second Sister. They will receive a Bug Trap, a Catapult, and a Tractor. All of these items can be used to assist with capturing the Inchworms.

To use a Bug Trap, right-click it from your inventory. A circle will appear on the ground underneath you. Left-click within the circle and a Bug Trap will spawn after a short time. You can place multiple Bug Traps at a time.

To use the Catapult, target another player and right-click it from your inventory. A bar will appear on the screen with a marker that constantly moves across it. Where the marker stops will determine the strength of the Catapult (blue = weak, red = strong). Pressing the Space Key will activate the Catapult. The player you have targeted will be launched forward a certain distance depending on the amount of strength you used.

Using the Tractor is similar to using the Catapult. To use the Tractor, target another player and right-click it from your inventory. A bar will appear on the screen with a marker that constantly moves across it. Where the marker stops will determine the strength of the Catapult (blue = weak, red = strong). Pressing the Space Key will activate the Catapult. The player you have targeted will be pulled towards you depending on the amount of strength you used. If you didn't use enough strength or you are at the wrong angle then they will not be pulled towards you.

You cannot reach most of the lotus leaves by jumping up to them. To reach the lotus leaves you will need at least 2 players. One player should be assigned the task of setting Bug Traps. The other player should assist the Bug Trapper in reaching the lotus leaves by using their Catapult and Tractor.

  1. Both player 1 (the bug trapper) and player 2 (the assist) should stand on top of the pavilion.
  2. Have player 2 stand behind player 1 so that when pushed forward, player 1 would reach the Corrupted Inchworm.
  3. Player 2 should now target player 1 and right-click the Catapult in their inventory. A bar will appear on their screen with a marker moving along it.
  4. Player 2 must press the Space key at the right time; the yellow area (3rd from the right) is usually sufficient enough.
  5. Player 1 will be launched towards the lotus leaf. They may need to move with the WASD keys to properly land on the lotus leaf.
  6. Player 1 should use their Bug Trap on the lotus leaf. The Corrupted Inchworm will usually move while doing this.
  7. Player 2 should right-click their Tractor while still targeting player 1. A bar will appear on their screen with a marker moving along it.
  8. Player 2 must press the Space key at the right time; usually the highest strength should work.
  9. Player 1 will be pulled back to the top of the pavilion with player 2.
  10. Repeat this process until the Corrupted Inchworm is caught.

When a Corrupted Inchworm is caught, another Inchworm will spawn after a short time, and all of the Bug Traps that have been set down will disappear. Once all 3 Corrupted Inchworms have been captured, the challenge will be complete, and each participating Apprentice will earn 400 Tutorship Points.

Tips[ | ]

  • One of the lotus leaves can be accessed by jumping up to it. If you have extra players one of them can climb up there themselves and set up a Bug Trap.
  • If you have more than 2 players you can have multiple players as Bug Trappers with 1 or 2 players using the Catapult and Tractor.
  • If you are on a lotus leaf when a Corrupted Inchworm is trapped, stay at the leaf and lay down another Bug Trap when the next Inchworm spawns to save time.

Autumn Harvest[ | ]

MA Autumn Harvest

The Autumn Harvest maze.

The objective of the Autumn Harvest challenge is to collect a total of 180 wheat from a maze. The challenge is very similar to the Pac-Man arcade game. When the challenge starts, all players will be teleported into the maze and placed in a Power Reaper that can be moved around to collect the wheat. All players must also avoid the Tainted Macaques that constantly spawn. If a player moves within the red circle around a Macaque, it will begin to chase the player. If a Macaque reaches a player, their Power Reaper will be destroyed and will be teleported into a small square space until they are revived or the challenge finishes or fails. If all players are killed by Macaques, the challenge will fail.

There are multiple types of power-ups available in the maze:

  • Green Orb: Staying on this spot for 5 seconds will revive a fallen teammate.
  • Orange Orb: Only 4 available. Makes all Power Reapers invincible for 20 seconds, and enables them to kill Tainted Macaques by touching them.
  • Blue Orb: Also known as a Refresh Point. Only available after all the wheat has been collected. Players must collect 4 to reset the board.

There are a total of 90 wheat in the maze at a time. Once players collect all 90 wheat, a Refresh Point will spawn in a random corner of the maze. When a player reaches the Refresh Point, another will spawn randomly. Refresh Points will spawn a total of 4 times before the maze is eventually reset.

When the maze is reset, all 90 wheat will reappear along with 4 Orange Orbs in each corner, allowing players to use power-ups again.

Once the maze has been cleared twice and 180 wheat have been harvested, the challenge will be complete and all participating Apprentices will earn 400 Tutorship Points.

Tips[ | ]

  • 2 to 3 players can stay at the Green Orb to constantly revive fallen teammates.
  • If you attract a Tainted Macaque keep moving throughout the maze, preferably towards an Orange Orb. It may also reset and stop chasing you.
