Dragon's Rise Celebration, also known as Dragon's Awakening is an event to celebrate Perfect World International's thirteen year anniversary, though the event mentions fourteen years instead.

The event uses a unique Historical Phase system and more parts of the event are unlocked as players work together to complete each phase.

Overview[]

The Dragon's Rise Celebration interface.

Upon logging in, the player will receive a quest which will announce the beginning of the event and give them a popup after about 10-20 seconds. The quest will then prompt them to talk to the Dragon's Rise Envoy in north Archosaur (545, 678). Players will then be teleported and will talk to each major city's Elder to learn about the nine dragons. Upon completing this quest, players will receive a 7-day Storm Teleport Stone, 4 million experience (at level 100+) and 800k spirit (at level 100+).

Completing this quest will allow players to access the Dragon's Awakening, Dragon's Ascension and Dragon's Rise quests.

After completing the initial quest, players will also be able to access the Dragon's Rise Celebration interface where they can view the progress of each dragon's awakening. The progress can also be seen by opening the map (default key: M). The interface is also used to receive rewards from the Dawn Dragon, Earth Dragon, and the final reward after all dragons have been awakened. The window can be accessed again by clicking on the scroll icon that appears on the right side of their screen.

Dragon's Awakening[]

Dragon's Awakening quests can be completed daily. Completing these quests will contribute towards the awakening of each dragon. There is no awakening quest for the first dragon, the Dawn Dragon, as progress completes on its own. Each quest has similar objectives and the same rewards.

Dragon's Awakening quests are completed in the following order: Rage Dragon, Blade Dragon, Lost Dragon, Feather Dragon, Earth Dragon, Dream Dragon, River Dragon, Archaic Dragon. Once the progress for a dragon's awakening reaches 100%, the Dragon's Awakening daily quest will focus on the next dragon in the list.

To start the Dragon's Awakening quest, talk to the Dragon's Rise Envoy in north Archosaur (545, 678). Note that you must complete the initial quests first before you can do this. The steps for each Awakening quest is as follows:

  1. Talk to the city Elder depending on which dragon is to be awakened.
  2. Collect the Chi of the dragon, usually located near the city Elder.
  3. After a short period of time, you will be teleported to north Archosaur in front of the wall.
  4. Use the Chi of the dragon on the wall. You must target the correct part of the wall. You can click towards the bottom of the wall or press the Tab ↹ key to target it.

After completing the quest, you will receive 4 million experience (at level 100+) and 800k spirit (at level 100+).

Dragon's Ascension[]

The Dragon's Ascension quests, named "Dragon's Rising Gift" quests in-game, can only be completed once per dragon. They must also be completed in a specific order (Dawn Dragon, Rage Dragon, Blade Dragon, Lost Dragon, Feather Dragon, Earth Dragon, Dream Dragon, River Dragon, Archaic Dragon). For completing each quest, you will receive a Dragon Scale Crystal, 4 million experience (at level 100), and 800k spirit (at level 100).

The Dragon Scale Crystals can be used to receive rewards from the Dragon's Rise Chest once all 9 dragons have been awakened. They cannot be sold, traded, or placed in the Account Stash.

Each quest can be picked up at the Dragon's Rise Envoy in north Archosaur (545, 678). Note that you must complete the initial quests first before you can do this. The objectives are mostly the same for each quest:

  1. Stand in front of the wall, depending on which dragon is ascending (usually the last colored piece of the wall). During this time all players will disappear from view to allow you to admire the wall.
  2. When you are standing in the correct spot, the dragon will fly up from the ground.
  3. Talk to the Dragon's Rise Envoy again.
  4. Talk to the dragon, which can be found in the city it guards. Make sure to do this while in human form (including outside of Ultraviolet Dance or Reaper Form) or the quest may not work correctly after this point.
  5. You will ride the dragon and fly around the city. Once the dragon has finished flying, it will drop you off near where you took off.
  6. Talk to the dragon again.

After completing the quest, the event interface will appear, with a glowing orb beside the "[Name] Dragon's Gift" text. Clicking on this orb will give the player details about the daily quest that the dragon offers. You will then be able to begin doing the daily quest for that specific dragon.

Dragon's Rise Chest[]

Once all 9 dragons have been awakened, players will be able to receive rewards from the Dragon's Rise Chest. To be eligible for the rewards, players must have 9 Dragon Scale Crystals in their inventory. The Dragon's Rise Chest is also only available at a specific time - September 13th, 2021 between 12:00 and 24:00 server time. You will need at least 3 slots of inventory space to receive the rewards. To claim the rewards, open the Dragon's Rise Celebration interface and click the "Collect" button at the bottom-right corner of the window.

The rewards received are as follows. They are not tradeable.

The Perfect Memory feature is only available in the Chinese language, but grants players Azure Cosmos Dust for scrolling through each year. You can get a maximum of 150 Azure Cosmos Dust from the Perfect Memory feature.
