Crisis of the Tauroc

Crisis of the Tauroc is a classic quest chain available for players level 62 and above. The quest chain is listed in the Classic section of the Perfect World Anecdote, and will award players with 1 Insight Point for completion. Completing this quest chain will take the player to Dawn's Cry Isle, where they can do quests that are part of the City of Misfortune Mystery and Tusk Town Warfare regional quest chains if they have not completed them already.

Players will be introduced to this quest chain after completing the level 60+ Token of the Seven quest chain. They can receive the quest "Manor of Knowledge Scholar" from the Celestial Recluse in Heaven's Tear (467, 567 ↑47) to talk to Manor of Knowledge - Lanbos just outside of Bamboo Village (358, 347). Players can begin the Perfect World Bestiary quest chain here as well. Lanbos will have another quest called "Bamboo Village" which will introduce players to the Crisis of the Tauroc quest chain. You do not need to do the "Manor of Knowledge Scholar" and "Bamboo Village" quests to begin the quest chains.

Quest Dispatcher: Bamboo Village Chief, Bamboo Village (369, 351)

1. Kill 10 Taurox Warlocks near Black Mountain, located to the east of Bamboo Village.
2. Talk to the Bamboo Village Chief in Bamboo Village (369, 351).

Rewards: Original Lore, 174 Silver Coins, 86900 Experience, 34760 Spirit, 9 Reputation

The Original Lore is used to create level 70 Quicksand Maze equipment.

Cloud Iron

Quest Dispatcher: Bamboo Village Chief, Bamboo Village (369, 351)

1. Collect 5 Cloud Iron east of Bamboo Village. When you dig a Cloud Iron, a Cloud Ironguard will spawn and attack the player but can be killed.
2. Give the iron to the Bamboo Village Chief in Bamboo Village (369, 351).

Rewards: 139 Silver Coins, 69500 Experience, 27800 Spirit, 7 Reputation

Fuju Bones

Quest Dispatcher: Bamboo Village Chief, Bamboo Village (369, 351)

1. Kill 5 Soulchaser Antelopes for Fuju Bones. They are located to the northeast, around Black Mountain and the Hill of the Old King.
2. Give the bones to the Bamboo Village Chief in Bamboo Village (369, 351).

Dragon Explosion Charm

Quest Dispatcher: Bamboo Village Chief, Bamboo Village (369, 351)

1. Talk to the Elder of Archosaur in east Archosaur (570, 648). He will give the player a Dragon Explosion Charm.
2. Give the charm to the Bamboo Village Chief in Bamboo Village (369, 351).

Rewards: 53 Silver Coins, 26100 Experience, 10440 Spirit, 3 Reputation

Vile Tauren

Quest Dispatcher: Bamboo Village Chief, Bamboo Village (369, 351)

1. After a few moments, the player will receive a 15 minute time-limited Dragon Explosion Charm. If it disappears, the player may have to trash this quest and start over.
2. Kill the Vile Tauren near Black Mountain, northeast of Bamboo Village. He is a mini-boss and will constantly stun the player. He will also buff himself, greatly reducing the damage he takes. Use the Dragon Explosion Charm on him by right-clicking it to remove this buff.
3. Talk to the Bamboo Village Chief in Bamboo Village (369, 351). You will be teleported after talking to him.
4. The player will be teleported to Dawn's Cry Isle (706, 908).
5. Talk to Hsun the Elder next to where you teleported on Dawn's Cry Isle (706, 907).

Rewards: Mirage Celestone x100, 174 Silver Coins, 86900 Experience, 34760 Spirit, 9 Reputation

The Mirage Celestones can only be used to refine equipment under grade 14, which will bind the equipment and make the refine level non-transferable to other equipment.
