Tideborn Quests

This page contains a list of Tideborn Quests for level 20+ assassins and psychics, members of the Tideborn race. These quests occur after the player has completed the Celestial Vale and have teleported to the Midlands in Perfect World.

Most quests have a maximum level requirement, meaning that the player may not be able to pick up or turn in certain quests if their level is too high. The player can pursue these quests again when reawakening for the first or second time.

Tips

• If you are a newer, inexperienced player, it is recommended to do these quests to become familiar with your skills and to also receive equipment.
• It is very likely you will outlevel many of the quests before you can complete them, especially if you have taken Perfect Questmaster and Lucid Envoy quests.
• Pick up as many quests as you can when in each town and village to save time when going out to kill monsters. Some quests may even require killing the same enemies, allowing you to complete quests simultaneously.
• When reaching a new town or village, make sure to unlock the waypoint for it so you can teleport there later. Some towns and villages will unlock waypoints as you reach them, while others will require you to talk to the Teleport Master to unlock them.
• When killing monsters they may drop items that are required for Dragon Quests. Many of these items can also be used to increase your bank's item capacity.
• Some Tideborn quests are hidden quests and can only be triggered in certain areas once previous quests have been completed.
• In the Tideborn area, the player will encounter both the Weapon Token and The Treasure quest lines.

Quests

Level 20-28

These quests are available between levels 20 and 28. After level 28 the player will not be able to pick up or hand in these quests.

First Look at the World

Quest will be automatically acquired when entering Perfect World

1. A popup will appear when the player enters Perfect World.
2. Talk to the Elder of Raging Tides in the City of Raging Tides (657, 143).

City of Raging Tides Tour

This quest has no maximum level requirement, and is available after completing First Look at the World.

Quest Dispatcher: Elder of Raging Tides, City of Raging Tides (657, 143)

1. The player will be placed on a phoenix and given a tour of the city. They will not be able to interact with chat or any other interfaces during this time.
2. When the tour is over the player will be teleported back near the Elder of Raging Tides at (659, 141). The quest will then complete.

City of Raging Tides

Quest Dispatcher: Elder of Raging Tides, City of Raging Tides (657, 143)

1. Talk to the Elder again.
2. Talk to Blacksmith Ilya in the south district of City of Raging Tides (662, 120). He will give the player the choice of 1 of the following items:
   • Glorious Garnet Rune x5: increases physical attack
   • Glorious Sapphire Rune x5: increases magic attack
   • Glorious Citrine Rune x5: increases health
3. Talk to Tailor Nika in the south district of City of Raging Tides (663, 121). She will give the player the choice of 1 of the following items:
   • ★Minister Light Armor: Light armor, recommended for assassins
   • ★Minister Arcane Robe: Arcane armor, recommended for psychics
4. Talk to Apothecary Tekla in the south district of City of Raging Tides (667, 119). He will give the player the choice of 1 of the following items:
   • ★Minister Cuisses: Light armor, recommended for assassins
   • ★Minister Arcane Leggings: Arcane armor, recommended for psychics
5. Talk to Craftsman Betep in the south district of City of Raging Tides (661, 121). He will give the player the choice of 1 of the following items:
   • ★Minister Light Footwear: Light armor, recommended for assassins
   • ★Minister Arcane Boots: Arcane armor, recommended for psychics
6. Talk to Merchant Sumuil in the south district of City of Raging Tides (666, 118). He will give the player the choice of 1 of the following items:
   • ★Minister Light Wristguards: Light armor, recommended for assassins
   • ★Minister Arcane Wristguards: Arcane armor, recommended for psychics
7. Talk to the Elder of Raging Tides in the City of Raging Tides (657, 143). The player will be teleported to Dragonfang Village (656, 209).
8. Talk to Vanguard Isis in Dragonfang Village (656, 208).
9. Talk to Dragonfang Messenger Lansy inside the building in Dragonfang Village (658, 203).

Initial Move

Quest Dispatcher: Vanguard Isis, Dragonfang Village (656, 208)

1. When taking this quest, choose the top options. Other options will give information about the Island of Broken Dreams but will not give the quest.
2. The player will receive 1 of the following tasks, at random:
   • Kill 5 Infant Seagrubs outside of Dragonfang Village.
   • Kill 5 Emerald Hermit Crabs outside of Dragonfang Village.
3. Talk to Vanguard Isis in Dragonfang Village (656, 208).

Rewards: 60 Coins, 6000 Experience, 1650 Spirit, choice of 1 of the following items:

1. Kill 5 Mutated Seagrubs outside of Dragonfang Village for Hearts of Seagrubs.

Quest is available after City of Raging Tides is completed.

2. Give the badge to the Netherspring Messenger in Netherspring Camp (629, 241) northwest of Dragonfang Village.
3. Wait 30 seconds, and then talk to the Netherspring Messenger again.

These quests are available between levels 22 and 28. After level 28 the player will not be able to pick up or hand in these quests.

Take the Advice

Quest Dispatcher: Netherspring Messenger, Netherspring Camp (629, 241)

1. The player will receive Book of Broken Dreams. This item can be used to read about the history of the Island of Broken Dreams via popups. It can be used up until level 32, and does not give any rewards so it can be safely sold.
2. Wait 1 minute, and then talk to the Netherspring Messenger. The player can choose any response they wish; it will not affect their reward.

Venomous Mushroom

Quest Dispatcher: Apothecary Trison, Netherspring Camp (631, 243)

1. Talk to Apothecary Trison again.
2. The player will receive one of the following series of quests at random. The rewards are different for each mushroom. If they don't get the desired mushroom appointed they can trash this quest and pick it up again.
   • Spicy Mushroom (no additional reward):
     1. Collect a Spicy Mushroom from Morning Star Valley at (658, 260), (658, 258), or (659, 259). The Tideborn Traitor near them is not hostile, but be careful not to attack her by accident.
     2. Bring the Spicy Mushroom back to Apothecary Trison in Netherspring Camp (631, 243).
     3. The apothecary will give the player a Cooked Spicy Mushroom.
   • Shadow Mushroom (additional Coin and Experience reward):
     1. Collect a Shadow Mushroom from Waterbeast Shore at (621, 227), (622, 224), or (624, 221).
     2. Bring the Shadow Mushroom back to Apothecary Trison in Netherspring Camp (631, 243).
     3. The apothecary will give the player a Cooked Shadow Mushroom.
   • Lady Mushroom (additional Spirit reward):
     1. Collect a Lady Mushroom from the Bloody Beach at (621, 258), (622, 257), (622, 261), or (623, 258).
     2. Bring the Lady Mushroom back to back to Apothecary Trison in Netherspring Camp (631, 243).
     3. The apothecary will give the player a Cooked Lady Mushroom.

Quest is triggered after using Cooked Spicy Mushroom, if the player received one.

Quest is triggered after using Cooked Shadow Mushroom, if the player received one.

Quest Dispatcher: Guard Lumane, Netherspring Camp (631, 243)

1. Talk to Guard Lumane again.
2. The player will need 500 coins. Give the coins to Blacksmith Dmitrii in Netherspring Camp (631, 242).
3. Wait 20 seconds, and then talk to Blacksmith Dmitrii again. He will give the player a Fake Gold Ingot.
4. Talk to Guard Lumane in Netherspring Camp (631, 243).
5. Give the Fake Gold Ingot to the Lone Obelisk in Morning Star Valley (658, 247).
6. A popup will appear. Click "Confirm" and wait 7 seconds.
7. The Crystal Shoreguard will appear. Kill it within 3 minutes to get the Shark Angel Orb.
   • If the player does not kill the Crystal Shoreguard in 3 minutes they will receive the Shark Angel Orb anyway.
8. Talk to Guard Lumane in Netherspring Camp (631, 243).

Shark Angel Orb

Quest is available after Tale of Tears is completed.

1. The reward for this quest depends on which NPC the player chooses to give the Shark Angel Orb to. The player can only talk to one NPC:

Lost Mines

Quest Dispatcher: Nightfire Messenger Luno, Nightfire Altar (687, 256)

• This quest has a 1 hour time limit. If the player does not turn in the quest on time it will fail.

1. Kill Lucius the Tainted, wandering southwest of Nightfire Altar.
2. A popup will appear. Confirm it and the player will receive Badge of Lucius the Tainted.
3. Give the badge to Nightfire Messenger Luno at Nightfire Altar (687, 256).

Reward: 81 Coins, 8125 Experience, 2437 Spirit, Badge of Lucius the Tainted

• The Badge of Lucius the Tainted can be used to activate the quest Treason at level 26. Avoid selling it to an NPC or you won't be able to activate the quest later.

Bad News

1. The objective for this quest depends on the answer that the player gives. Each answer will give the same reward, but the answer "Belief" does not require killing monsters.
   • Courage:
     1. Kill 5 Nightspike Apprentices near Sharkscale Spire.
     2. Talk to Nightfire Messenger Luno at Nightfire Altar (687, 256). He will give the player the Warrior Recommendation.
   • Strength:
     1. Kill 5 Underworld Summoners east of Nightfire Altar.
     2. Talk to Nightfire Messenger Luno at Nightfire Altar (687, 256). He will give the player the Warrior Recommendation.
   • Belief:
     1. Talk to Nightfire Messenger Luno at Nightfire Altar (687, 256). He will give the player the Warrior Recommendation.

City of Raging Tides

Quest is available after Brave Recommendation is completed.

This quest has no level requirement, and is only available if the player has received a Warrior Recommendation from the Brave Recommendation quest.

Quest is available after Enemy's Plans is completed.

1. Kill the Escaped Thief in northern Galerider Plains (684, 160) for the Secret Lochmur Key.
2. Give the key to Priest Konchi in Cloud Temple above City of Raging Tides (663, 133 ↑42). The player can teleport up to Cloud Temple for free by taking the quest at Teleporter Reviero.

Never Return

Quest Dispatcher: Elder of Raging Tides, City of Raging Tides (657, 143)

1. The player will be teleported to Cloud Temple above City of Raging Tides (664, 132 ↑42).
2. Talk to General Chugunov in Cloud Temple above City of Raging Tides (665, 134 ↑41).
3. Go to the entrance to Mountains of Despair (629, 133). A popup will appear.
4. Get the Leadership Insignia from the Corpse of Guard nearby (627, 135). The player will receive the Guard's Bloody Letter.
   • The quest Treason will be triggered in the same area if the player has the Badge of Lucius the Tainted.
5. Give the letter to General Chugunov in Cloud Temple above City of Raging Tides (665, 134 ↑41). The player can teleport up to Cloud Temple for free by taking the quest at Teleporter Reviero.

Treason

Requires Badge of Lucius the Tainted from the Lost Mines quest.

• The quest will be received automatically at the entrance to Mountains of Despair (629, 135) while doing the quest Never Return.

1. A popup will appear. Confirm it and some text will appear in the chat box.
2. Talk to the Murmuring Person nearby (622, 138).
3. Wait 5 seconds.
4. A Summoned Guard will appear. The player can either kill it or wait 3 minutes and 1 second. The guard will disappear after 3 minutes.
5. Talk to the Murmuring Person again.
6. Talk to the Elder of Raging Tides in the City of Raging Tides (657, 143).

Rewards: 87 Coins, 8710 Experience, 2613 Spirit

Level 27-32

These quests are available between levels 27 and 32. After level 32 the player will not be able to pick up or hand in these quests. The player will not receive any additional quests around the City of Raging Tides area after level 27 except to teleport to Archosaur, where further quests are unlocked.

Missing Captain

Quest Dispatcher: Merchant Ambassador Shimmin, City of Raging Tides (667, 136)

1. Talk to Guard Captain Tankis south of the City of Raging Tides (672, 102).
   • The player will trigger the quest Soul of the Scarecrow on their way to the guard if they haven't triggered it already.
2. Get Ruin Remains from the Ancient Ruins west of Tankis on the hill (670, 102).

3. Wait 1 minute, and then talk to Merchant Ambassador Qirin again. He will give the player Letter to Shimmin·Lost.
4. Give the Letter to Elf Ambassador to Merchant Ambassador Querin in the City of Raging Tides (667, 136).
5. Wait 1 minute, and then talk to Merchant Ambassador Querin again. She will give the player Letter to Shimmin·Plume.
6. Give both letters to Merchant Ambassador Shimmin in the City of Raging Tides (667, 136).

Soul of the Scarecrow

Quest is automatically acquired when going south of the City of Raging Tides. Also triggers around the outskirts of the city, or at (649, 140).

1. A popup will appear mentioning scarecrows on the beach south of the City of Raging Tides.
2. Talk to the Elder of Raging Tides in the City of Raging Tides (657, 143).
3. Collect 8 Soul Retriever Crystals from Disheveled Scarecrows south of the City of Raging Tides at (682, 104), (683, 103), (684, 103), (684, 104), and (686, 104).
   • After digging from a scarecrow a Crazed Spirit Worm will spawn and attack the player. These will interrupt the player's digging so they should be killed.
4. Give the crystals to the Elder of Raging Tides in the City of Raging Tides (657, 143).

Family Heirloom

Quest Dispatcher: Guard Iozo, City of Raging Tides (671, 117)

1. Get a Jaden Statuette by killing Nightspike Slaves west of the City of Raging Tides. It has a 20% chance of dropping.
2. Give the Statuette to Guard Iozo at the south gate of the City of Raging Tides (671, 117).

Quest Dispatcher: Minister Georcy, Cloud Temple above City of Raging Tides (663, 133 ↑41)

1. The player will be assigned a boss to kill at random to reclaim an Ambassador's banner. They may need help to kill the boss assigned to them. It is possible to solo kill the boss however it is heavily recommended to use health potions from the Unique Rewards chest and a guardian charm from Fortune's Bounty.
   • Human Banner:
     1. Kill Grand Thief·Blackbone around the Mountains of Despair (626, 140) for the Ambassador Banner·Human.
     2. Give the banner to Merchant Ambassador Shimmin in the City of Raging Tides (667, 136).
   • Untamed Banner:
     1. Kill Grand Thief·Redbeard around White Sand Beach (640, 130) for the Ambassador Banner·Untamed.
     2. Give the banner to Merchant Ambassador Qirin in the City of Raging Tides (666, 137).
   • Elven Banner:
     1. Kill Grand Thief·Whiteshadow around Galerider Plains east of the City of Raging Tides (679, 142) for the Ambassador Banner·Elf.
     2. Give the banner to Merchant Ambassador Querin in the City of Raging Tides (667, 136).

Kill the Ocean Tusker

This quest has no maximum level requirement. Quest is available after Secret Lochmur Key is completed.

Quest Dispatcher: General Chugunov, Cloud Temple above City of Raging Tides (665, 134 ↑41)

1. The player will be teleported to the Caves of Menaces (692, 222).
2. Kill the Ocean Tusker in the Caves of Menaces (694, 210 ↑16) for the Eye of Sea Monster. It is a level 30 boss with 25,140 health.
   • The player may need help to kill this boss. It is possible to solo kill the Ocean Tusker however it is heavily recommended to use health potions from the Unique Rewards chest and a guardian charm from Fortune's Bounty.
   • To enter the Caves of Menaces, talk to Guard Boogeon inside the Caves of Menaces (695, 221). He will teleport the player behind the door at (696, 221). Each player must take the quest to teleport in.
   • Once the Ocean Tusker is dead, leave the Caves of Menaces as soon as possible by talking to the Ocean Maiden in the same room. The Ocean Tusker respawns quickly and is aggressive.
3. Give the eye to General Chugunov in Cloud Temple above City of Raging Tides (665, 134 ↑41). The player can teleport up to Cloud Temple for free by taking the quest at Teleporter Reviero.

Level 28+

This quest is available for players level 28 and above. It is the last quest for Tideborns, and will guide them to Archosaur where their future quests are located.

The Archosaur Arena

Quest Dispatcher: Elder of Raging Tides, City of Raging Tides (657, 143)

1. The player will be teleported to West Archosaur (529, 664). They will also unlock waypoints to Archosaur if they haven't already received them. The quest will autocomplete.
